Why agencies switch

The work that happens after the signature is where time disappears.

Most e-sign tools solve the click-to-sign step. The hidden cost comes right after: downloading the signed file, renaming it, filing it in the right folder, and hunting for it again when a question arises weeks later. BrightArchive eliminates that handoff — the signed document is already in your archive, indexed, and searchable the moment the last party signs.

Reduce manual work

Cut the extra steps that usually happen after signing: export, rename, refile, chase the final copy, and answer "where is the signed version?" requests.

$

Consolidate spend

Position BrightSign + BrightArchive as a stack simplifier: one story for signature, archive, search, metadata, permissions, and document retrieval.

Support compliance readiness

Centralized records, controlled access, audit-friendly retrieval, and a defined post-signature system of record help case staff and client-facing teams move faster with more confidence.

ROI calculator

Show value in labor, search, and stack reduction.

Use the calculator below to create an illustrative ROI story. The math is intentionally simple so a sales rep, executive sponsor, or buyer can understand it in seconds.

Interactive ROI calculator

Estimate annual value from fewer filing steps, faster retrieval, and lower archive/search tool sprawl.

This workflow could recover meaningful time and cost. Adjust the assumptions to match your current filing, search, and archive process.

What drives the savings

No post-signature filing step

Signed documents land in the archive automatically — teams skip download, rename, and refile work after every signature.

Records are already searchable

Tags, document types, correspondents, custom fields, and saved views make retrieval faster than hunting across folders or inboxes.

Clearer leadership visibility

Status, ownership, and access live in one system of record — no stitching together e-sign, email, and shared drives to answer questions.

Workflow impact

What BrightSign changes in the workflow.

The competitive message is not "signature versus signature." It is "what happens after the signature." That is the wedge against a stand-alone e-sign deployment.

Typical separate-tool flow

Strong e-sign tools can still leave a post-signature handoff if archive, retrieval, and broader document control live elsewhere.

How we compare

Fit guide: BrightSign + BrightArchive vs. DocuSign vs. Adobe Acrobat Sign

DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign are respected e-sign products. BrightSign's differentiation is strongest when the buyer also wants a post-signature archive, operational search, metadata control, and a lower-friction system of record.

Decision area BrightSign + BrightArchive DocuSign Adobe Acrobat Sign
Core e-signature Yes Strong fit for sending, signing, and then keeping the document useful afterward. Yes Mature e-signature platform with broad agreement workflow options. Yes Strong e-signature workflow with tracking, templates, reminders, and enterprise options.
Searchable repository after signing Native in the Same Platform Archive and retrieval are part of the operating model, not an afterthought. Available via Navigator DocuSign positions Navigator as a central AI-assisted agreement repository in select IAM plans. Agreement Storage Plus Archive Patterns Acrobat Sign includes record keeping and also supports external archive and partner vaulting patterns.
Broader document archive workflow Strong Differentiator Tags, correspondents, document types, custom fields, permissions, views, and workflows support an operational archive. Agreement-Centric Repository Best fit when the agreement workflow itself is the center of gravity. Agreement-Centric Workflow Best fit when Acrobat Sign is part of a broader Adobe or external content pattern.
Lowest handoff from signed to searchable Best-Fit Story Sign, archive, search, and govern in one environment. Depends on Plan and Repository Setup Powerful when paired with IAM / Navigator. Depends on Archive or Vault Setup Strong e-sign experience; archive model depends on surrounding configuration.
Best ROI message Consolidate Signing, Archiving, and Retrieval Ideal for buyers who want to remove manual filing work and reduce stack sprawl. Scale Agreement Operations Strong for organizations buying into a broader agreement automation ecosystem. Extend Acrobat-Centric Signing Strong for teams standardizing on Adobe's document experience and layering archive around it.

The BrightSign position: Lead with the archive story — not "our signature button is better."

The strongest message is that the completed document becomes a controlled, searchable, governed record inside BrightArchive

instead of beginning a new manual filing workflow.

Getting started
Your trial includes all Professional features. If you added a payment method during checkout, billing begins automatically at $99.99/month per organization (unlimited users) — no action needed. If you skipped payment, your workspace is suspended at the end of day 30. After you set your password, you can add a card from your account portal at any time before then.
First, set your password using the link in the email from login@brightarchive.com. Then sign in at archive.brightarchive.com with your email address and that password — not the billing ID from accounts@crc.net. For billing and user invites, use portal.brightarchive.com/account (you may need to sign in there separately).
Professional is the self-serve plan today. Moving to Enterprise is a sales-led change with custom pricing, billing terms, and onboarding support. Contact sales to discuss an upgrade.
Self-serve Professional uses major credit and debit cards through Chargebee's secure hosted checkout. ACH bank transfer and invoice billing are available for Enterprise agreements only — contact sales@crc.net.
Your account enters a past-due state and product access is paused until billing is resolved. We retry the charge automatically during the grace period, while billing and account recovery remain accessible. If payment isn't resolved within 30 days, the account is deactivated and retained under our data-retention policy.
Yes — after you set your password, cancel anytime from your account portal with no cancellation fee. Your workspace is deactivated at the end of the current billing period. Documents are retained under our data-retention policy and can be exported before deactivation. Contact support@crc.net if you need an export before the period ends.
Team & users
Professional includes unlimited users at a flat $99.99/month for the whole organization — invite your entire team with no extra charge per seat. Enterprise uses contract-specific terms.
After provisioning you'll receive a password setup email from login@brightarchive.com. Once your password is set, invite team members from portal.brightarchive.com/account → Users. To assign teams or departments after they join, use Users & Roles inside BrightArchive.
Yes — BrightArchive has a role-based access model with Admin, Editor, and Viewer roles. You can also restrict document visibility by team or department, and set per-document permissions for sensitive records.
Features & documents
Fax & SMS document ingestion and eSignature workflows (via BrightSign) are included on Professional. Enterprise adds contract-specific scale and terms. Everything is part of one BrightArchive subscription.
BrightArchive supports PDF, DOC/DOCX, common image formats (JPG, PNG, TIFF), and fax or SMS documents pushed via API. All documents run through OCR automatically — making the full text searchable regardless of format.
Search combines full-text OCR content with structured metadata — document type, tags, correspondents, custom fields, date ranges, and team or department scope. You can save filtered views as one-click shortcuts for recurring searches your team runs every day.
Yes — individual documents can be downloaded at any time. If you need a full bulk export before cancellation, contact support@crc.net and we'll prepare one before your workspace is deactivated.
Yes — BrightArchive has a REST API used by BrightSign and BrightSend to push documents in automatically. API tokens are scoped per user so you can integrate external tools without sharing admin credentials. Contact support@crc.net for API documentation.
Security & compliance
Every organization is a fully isolated workspace with separate document storage, access controls, and secure organization login. There is no shared data between organizations. Support access is restricted and logged where applicable.
Yes — documents are stored in AWS S3 with built-in redundancy across multiple availability zones. Database state is backed up daily via AWS RDS automated snapshots. Enterprise customers can discuss extended retention and dedicated backup terms with their account team.
HIPAA / BAA support is available on Enterprise agreements by contract. If your organization requires a Business Associate Agreement, contact sales to discuss Enterprise terms. SOC 2 Type II is on our roadmap.
